Victoria Logistic, a Victoria Group member company, publishes the agricultural magazine “Za našu zemlju” (“For Our Land”) each month. A fresh design marked the beginning of the fifth year for this magazine, 3000 copies of which are printed and distributed to business partners and agricultural producers across our country, and it is also sent electronically to over 1000 e-mail addresses. The magazine deals with current topics in the field of agriculture, and it shares the experiences of agricultural producers.

On March 21 and 22, the fourth workshop within the “GMO-free Quality Soybean From the Danube Region” project of the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) was held in Novi Sad. The topic was “The Transfer of Knowledge from Science to Practice as an Instrument for Achieving Economically, Ecologically and Socially Sustainable GMO-free Soybean Production”.

On Saturday, March 25, the lights will be turned off from 20:30 to 21:30 to symbolically mark the tenth “Earth hour”. This global event is organized by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to raise awareness of climate change and its consequences.

The Veterinary Institute Subotica, a Victoria Group member company, has prepared a new company video to support its sales. The three-minute video sums up the development of the Veterinary Institute Subotica and its business successes, emphasizing that it is the most complete system in the field of veterinary medicine in Serbia, and the only company offering end-to-end solution for livestock breeding – from preventive measures, through feeding to the treatment of animals.

The Victoriaoil union organized a blood donation campaign, with the support of its employer. Apart from employees at the Šid factory, employees from other Victoria Group member companies joined the cause. Zoran Zec, the union’s president, pointed out that this campaign has been organized for three years so far and that the participants are motivated by their humanity and simply wish to help.

The beginning of 2017 announced a successful business year for the Veterinary Institute Subotica, a Victoria Group member company. Namely, in the first two months of this year, the animal feed sales increased by 110 percent in comparison with the same period in 2016. To this outstanding result contributed both the sales and production teams of the Veterinary Institute Subotica. In addition, the sales team has reached agreements with 40 new buyers since the beginning of this year, and therefore a further increase in animal feed segment is expected.

The 38^th Veterinary Knowledge Innovation Seminar organized by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Belgrade, was held on February 10. The veterinarians from the Veterinary Institute Subotica, a Victoria Group member company, actively participated in the discussions.

The sales results achieved last year confirmed Victoria Group’s place among the leading exporters in Serbia. According to the reports of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia and the information collected by the Customs Administration in 2016, this company took the tenth place on the list of leading exporters, with the export value of EUR 172.6 million.

The Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Novi Sad, the Department of Field and Vegetable Crops, organized a scientific and professional event “Hello, farmer” (“Dobar dan domaćine”) on February 9 and 10.

The 51^st Conference of Agronomists and Farmers was held, which traditionally takes place on Zlatibor Mountain at the end of January and brings together the key players in Serbian agriculture. More than fifty lectures and presentations on primary agricultural production, soil fertility and crop protection were given from January 22 to 28.
