The introduction of standards and the vertical integration of agriculture is imperative in the process of domestic agricultural development and its positioning on the market of the European Union – this was one of the conclusions on the first day of the “Food for Europe” (“Hrana za Evropu”) forum.
The Veterinary Institute Subotica commissioned a state-of-the-art robotic palletizing system within the animal feed production plant. A robotic palletizing system is a set of devices used for sorting bags onto a pallet and preparing a loaded pallet for transportation. The goal of this investment was to speed up the sorting and stretching process and to reduce and relieve the workforce in the actual process of sorting and preparing the pallets. In comparison with the previous system of manual sorting, the process itself has become almost twice as fast.
Victoria Group is among top 10 exporters in Serbia according to the report of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia and the data from the Customs Administration. The Group took the ninth position with the export value of €126.1 million in the first nine months of this year.
The Turkey–Serbia–Bosnia Business Forum, organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina took place in Istanbul, on October 26. Around 100 companies from these three countries participated in the forum and most of them were the representatives of the agriculture and food, energetic and transport sectors.
In Serbia, grain crops (wheat, barley, rye, triticale, durum wheat) are sown on between a 450,000 and 600,000 hectare area on average each autumn.
The “Bakers and Millers Conference” was held at Novi Sad Fair from October 6 to 8. Current topics related to this branch were discussed at this year’s conference, which was held for the 21st time. A fair exhibition was added to the program for the first time. Visitors had an opportunity to learn about the equipment used by bakers and millers, to see how baked goods are prepared and baked in mini bakeries on several booths, and to enjoy the tasting.

In the category of food products, ISKON refined sunflower oil was awarded the “Ruža ZEPS” gold medal for quality, for the seventh time.
