On August 9, a round table discussion was held in Novi Sad on the current issues in the agricultural sector, namely the state of sunflower, soy, and maize and the quality of wheat from the crop of 2017, featuring a special topic on rapeseed as a promising culture. The conference was organized by the Association Serbia Grains with the support of UN FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) and EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) in the context of the project for the advancement of grain and oilseed export.
At the ceremonial session of the Municipal Assembly of Bečej held on August 1 as part of the Municipality Day festivities, the annual awards for the contribution to the local community – the August 1st Awards – were presented.

The 13th “Games Without Frontiers” were held on July 4 at Zemunski kej in Belgrade as part of the permanent activities of the charity organization “maliVeliki ljudi” (“littleBig people”). This traditional event aims at taking children with disabilities out of children’s homes and socializing them along with developing their competitive spirit. Around 100 children from 12 children’s homes competed in various games adapted to suit their abilities and watched the entertaining performances of a magician and a band that put on a show during breaks.
Rapeseed covered a record 38,000ha last fall, due to a stable price, a secure placement and the good yields realized last year. Immediately upon harvest which began around July 20, Victoriaoil started with the receipt and processing of rapeseed, especially the rapeseed certified with the ISCC standard.

AgroPort center in Bačka Palanka celebrated its first anniversary on June 26. On this occasion, Victoria Logistic and the Port of Bačka Palanka welcomed business partners and offered them an organized tour and presentation of their offer. The 58th Conference on the Production and Processing of Oilseeds themed “Innovations for a better world” was held from June 19 to 24, in Herceg Novi, Montenegro. The focus of the Conference was on scientific innovations and the application of new findings in oilseed industry practice.
The third “Danube Soya Field Day — From NON-GMO soybeans to NON-GMO milk” was held on June 15 in Lugovo near Sombor. It was attended by over three hundred soybean manufacturers from the whole country as well as representatives of the processing industry and scientific community.
