SP Laboratory seeks to prevent the contamination of raspberries and blackberries through education

Radovan Čobanović, Deputy Executive Director of the Microbiological Department at SP Laboratorija, gave a lecture themed “The occurrence and prevention of bacteria and virus contaminations in the course of growing, picking, and processing raspberries and blackberries” to producers from the Požega region.

Spring sowing finished in Serbia

The spring crops were sown by May and, according to preliminary estimates, an expected 2.5 million ha was sown. Corn, the most widely grown cereal crop in our country, has the dominant share, totaling 1.2 million ha. All of the crops were sown within the customary Serbian limits, except soybeans, which were sown over larger areas than previously, namely on at least 180,000 ha. In comparison with the previous year, a smaller area of sunflowers was sown, estimated to 170,000 - 180,000 ha.

Victoria Group among the “Heroes of change”

Victoria Group took part in the “Heroes of change” initiative by the Liceulice association, which has been implementing practical programs of direct support to socially disadvantaged groups in order to raise the level of their economic, cultural, and social engagement. The “Heroes of change” initiative supports the publishing of “Liceulice” magazine, which is sold by a network of salespersons composed of socially disadvantaged people with difficulties finding employment.

The Third Danube Soya congress, which was held in Berlin from May 6 to 8, saw more than 400 participants from Europe, America, and Australia. Gold Medal for Iskon Oil

Sunflower oil from the Victoriaoil factory, a member of the Victoria Group, was awarded another gold medal for quality at the Novi Sad Fair in the category of edible oils. This award is given within the framework of a product quality assessment, which is traditionally organized during the International Agricultural Fair. This year, the Fair is held from May 9 to May 15.
