Sojaprotein participated in the largest European fair in the animal feed segment, EuroTier 2014, held in Hanover from 11-14 November. At this fair, held every other year, over 2,000 exhibitors from 48 countries presented their portfolio intended for animal breeding and nutrition, and the number of visitors exceeded 150,000 this year.

Victoria Group presented its strategy in digital communication within the three-day Webiz seminar.

​Sojaprotein, a member of the Victoria Group, participated on the 2nd International Congress "Food technology, quality, and safety" and the 16th International Symposium "Feed technology," which were held from October 28 - 30, organized by the Institute of Food Technology of the University of Novi Sad. For the first time, these two events united to jointly promote research, development, innovation, and education in the field of food technology for human and animal consumption.

On Friday, October 31, a presentation on the project "Reconstruction of the existing plant and construction of phase 2 of the wastewater treatment plant" was given in the Victoriaoil factory. The presentation was attended by representatives of the Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry of the Municipality of Šid, and representatives of the public enterprises Waters of Vojvodina Šid, Waterworks Šid, and Urban Planning Institute Šid.

The “Food for Europe” agricultural forum took place for the 4th time in Subotica on 22 and 23 October, organised by the Economic Institute in Belgrade and the Serbian Association of Agricultural Economists. The forum attracted great attention from both the public and the private sectors in the areas of agriculture and the food processing industry, and besides representatives of agribusiness from the country and the region, representatives of international organisations, the academic community, and farmers’ associations took part.

In September, the Victoria Group  achieved record sales of edible sunflower oil with over 8.2 million liters sold. Of these, 4.1 million liters were sold in retail chains and through traditional sales channels in Serbia, while the other 50% was exported - to countries of the region, as well as to the markets of Greece, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria, where the sunflower oil of the Victoriaoil factory has been acknowledged by partners and consumers for its outstanding quality and excellent value for price.

The sunflower harvest has finished, while the soybean harvest is drawing to an end. Due to the record purchase the company undertook this year, providing the raw material for a maximum capacity of Sojaprotein and Victoriaoil factories, we decided to take another step in educating our consumers and the public on how soybean and sunflower products end up on the dining table.

After a month-long competition in preparing ajvar and "crossing mixing spoons" throughout Serbia, at the event "Show me the jar", organized by the BašTaMašta association, in yesterday's big final in Belgrade, the best of the 13 teams that won in the cities from Subotica to Vranje, was selected. The company supported this humanitarian project by donating 1,200 liters of Iskon oil. The overall quantity of prepared ajvar is intended for orphanages in municipalities in which the event was held.

At the “My Choice 2014” award ceremony, the company Victoria Group was recognised for its investments in the healthcare sector, namely for the refurbishing of the Emergency Urology department of the Emergency Centre of the Clinical Centre of Serbia. A donation of EUR 200,000, made by Victoria Group in 2013, was used to construct two state-of-the–art operating rooms for liver and kidney transplants, and an intensive care unit for patients in post-operational recovery.

A two-day seminar dedicated to renewable energy sources intended for journalists in Serbia was held last week, organised by the Media Association. Sojaprotein Technical and EHS Manager Stevan Rausavljević represented Victoria Group and gave a presentation on the development of biomass as an energy source in this factory.
