Victoria Logistic, in cooperation with the chemicals manufacturing corporation BASF, organized a presentation in Novi Sad, on February 22. The presentation was attended by more than 250 business partners of both companies – soybean and sunflower producers.

The FRA ARENA 2016 6th International Conference of FMCG, Retail and Agribusiness Industry was held in Vienna on February 18 – 19, organized by the Infoarena Group with the support of EBRD. This year’s topic “From Global Challenges to Grand Opportunities” gathered more than 80 experts and entrepreneurs from the region, including the representatives of international institutions and organizations.

The BioSens Institute organized the Second International Workshop “IT for New Agricultural Economics” in Novi Sad, on February 10 – 12. This meeting, dedicated to the technological innovations in the agriculture and food industry sectors, gathered representatives of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, representatives from agricultural economics, and prominent scientists in this field from all over Europe.

The 50th jubilee Conference of Agronomists and Farmers of Serbia was held on Zlatibor Mountain from January 24 to January 30, 2016 organized by the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops from Novi Sad. Victoria Logistic traditionally takes part in this event, which is one of the most important gatherings of the agricultural community in our country. Numerous meetings with business partners were held, together with a presentation of the company’s work plan for the current year and the current offer.

According to the consolidated business results in the period from September 2014 to August 2015, the so-called agricultural year, Victoria Group achieved more than EUR 380 million in sales revenue, a 15% increase compared to the previous agricultural year. An increase was also achieved both in the sales on domestic and foreign markets, while export generated over 40% of sales revenue.

After the promotion of the product portfolio at the World Fair EXPO 2015 in Milan, Sojaprotein, in cooperation with the Tourist Organization Bečej, continued its “Soya Gastro Show” activities within the project of presenting the local gastro-tourist offer.

On October 16 and 17 in Subotica, the Fifth Agricultural Forum “Food for Europe” gathered a large number of local agriculture representatives from the private and public sector. The central theme was the question of how to develop agriculture in the pre-accession period. The forum organizers, the Economics Institute and the Serbian Association of Agricultural Economists, pointed out that the agribusiness has been the largest unexploited potential for decades, although it is a strategic area of economic sovereignty of our country.

Iskon oil was awarded the “Ruža Zeps” gold medal for quality at the 22nd General B&H Fair ZEPS 2015. Refined sunflower oil produced by Victoriaoil, a member of Victoria Group, received the highest recognition of this B&H fair for the fifth time. The evaluation of the product quality was carried out based on an analysis by the Institute of Food Technology of the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Science in Sarajevo, as well as the assessments of consumers and the ZEPS jury of experts.

Last week, on the occasion of marking the International Year of Soils, the “Sustainable Soil Use” scientific and professional event was held by the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops and the Soil Science Society of Serbia. The event gathered a large number of representatives from relevant institutions and the academic and business community, with the goal of promoting the importance of soil and its sustainable use.

On September 7 and 8, in SP Laboratorija, a member of Victoria Group, a reevaluation was carried out as required by the SMETA 4-Pillar SEDEX group. SEDEX (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) is a non-profit organization dedicated to guiding and improving ethical and responsible business practices in global supply chains. The audit aims to verify the compliance of policies related to the laboratory operations with the legal regulations on labor, safety and health at work, environmental protection and business ethics.
