Victoria Logistic is ready to purchase soybeans and sunflower this year too. In addition to the funds secured for the purchase of seeds, funds for the supporting operations and expenses following the purchase are also available: quality control, storage facilities, and goods transport. The purchase is organized at more than 40 purchase and flow locations/warehouses throughout the country. The quality control is performed in cooperation with the inspection companies SGS and Jugoinspekt.

Victoria Group achieved a revenue of EUR 191.4 million in the first half of 2015, a 31.5% increase compared to the same period last year. Sales revenue saw an identical increase and exports alone increased by 26%, amounting to more than EUR 78 million. In this way, the company has further strengthened its position as the leading net exporter in the food-processing sector in Serbia. Good business results have also been confirmed by EBITDA, which is nearly 100% higher compared with the period January-June 2014.

On the field plots of the Agricultural School in Futog, on June 29, the Soybean Field Day was held, organized by the Danube Soya Regional Center and Victoria Logistic. At this event, three different seed companies had the opportunity to present a total of 16 varieties of this field crop. The participants were also able to see herbicide tests, in which the chemical companies and distributors presented their weed control preparations, as well as so-called “strip tests” for quick determination of the genetically modified soybean.

In recognition of the importance of resolving the problem of financing, regarding the development of the Serbian agriculture, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UN FAO), together with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Serbia started the initiative in the previous year to develop the Law on Pre-Harvest Financing, which came into effect in June this year.

The Victoria Group supported the project “Golubinci Oasis”, organized by the Association for Helping Persons with Disabilities “Živimo zajedno” (“We live together”). The project includes the organization of living together and work engagement for about 30 persons with disabilities.

A new food line for ruminants from the Veterinarski zavod Subotica, named Benefit, comprises complete mixtures for dairy cows and the fattening of calves. What differentiates these products from other, similar products on the market, is soy molasses, which makes up their integral constituent. Molasses is an optimal and easily digestible carbohydrate, which, besides having a high level of energy, provides sweetness and fragrance, which improves the food consumption among animals.

The Regional Chamber of Commerce Novi Sad celebrated its 40 year anniversary on June 9. On that occasion, the June Awards Ceremony was held for the most successful companies, institutions and individuals, who have achieved a significant success and have made an outstanding contribution to the development of the regional economy, as well as local economy in its entirety.

The Victoria Group supported the event “Together to Victory” organized by the Serbian Special Olympics with the aim of promoting rights of persons with disabilities and raising funds for sending competitors of the Serbian Special Olympics to the World Summer Games of the Special Olympics, which will be held in Los Angeles, July 21 - August 4.

This year, in the period from the beginning of May until the end of October, the World Fair "EXPO 2015" is being held in Milan, with the theme ”Food for the planet - energy for life”. According to predictions, more than 20 million visitors are expected to visit EXPO 2015, and more than 100 countries are to participate in it. The Republic of Serbia is participating for the second time in this manner, with the aim of promoting its national identity by presenting tourism and its local economy.

Having recognized the importance of practical education for future experts, Victoriaoil welcomed around 30 third-year students from the Faculty of Technology in Novi Sad. Following a reception at the administrative building and a presentation of the basic information about the factory, they were given a tour of the factory complex.
