The conference on the supply of GMO-free protein in Europe

The conference on the “Trends and strategies in the supply of GMO-free proteins and food products in Europe” was held in Sarajevo on March 17 and 18, 2016. It was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina in association with the German Organization for Technical Cooperation (GTZ), in the scope of the “High-quality, GMO-free soya from the Danube region” project.

During the two days, authority representatives from the agriculture and the food safety sectors of Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, Germany, Serbia, Switzerland, and the EU Commission shared their experience on the subject of strategic policy and legal mechanisms for the development of the GMO-free food products supply.

The round table dedicated to the GMO-FREE standardization and control saw the participation of Natalija Kurjak, Marketing Manager of Victoria Logistic, a member of Victoria Group. On this occasion, she presented company activities regarding the realization of the IP (Identity Preservation) program for soybeans, which has been applied since 2004 and she shared the experience regarding the cooperation with agricultural producers and the implementation and enforcement of standards in the production.
