The Third Agricultural Forum “Food for Europe” took place in Subotica from 17 to 19 October 2013. Discussion on investments in Serbia’s agribusiness, which was the central topic of the Forum, brought together around 150 participants including representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, numerous companies and professional associations and institutions.

Victoria Group Chief Executive Officer Zoran Mitrović took part in the panel discussion “The necessary reforms to achieve macroeconomic stability” that took place as part of the 13th Economic Summit of the Republic in Serbia, held earlier this week at the Metropol Palace Hotel.

Sojaprotein took part in the Agroprodmash Fair in Moscow, held from 7 to 11 October this year, which brings together the most important producers of both ingredients and the process equipment for different branches of the food processing industry. The fair was visited by almost 30,000 visitors from across the Russian Federation and its neighbours Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic countries and the Central Asian countries.

Iskon Oil was awarded the “Ruža Zeps” gold medal for quality for the fourth consecutive year at the 20th General BH Fair ZEPS 2013. Eighteen products from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Montenegro were nominated in the food products category, and the evaluation of quality was made based on analyses performed by the Institute for Food Technologies at the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences in Sarajevo, plus grading by the fair jury and a group of customers that participated in tasting.

In the new annual publication Top 500 published by NIN magazine, Victoria Group is among the first ten best ranked companies in Serbia, according to its business results achieved in the 2012, occupying a leading position in the agricultural sector and third place in the food industry in Serbia.

Today, representatives of Victoria Group and the Emergency Centre officially opened the renovated Emergency Department of Urology, at the Clinical Centre of Serbia. This grant from Victoria Group has enabled the construction of two state-of-the-art operating theatres, where liver and kidney transplantations will be performed, as well as an intensive care unit for the post-operative recovery of patients.

Smart Kolektiv and the Forum of Business Leaders have organised for the third time the handing out of awards for corporate volunteering for 2013, with the purpose of identifying and highlighting employee engagement programmes that contributed the most to the development of local communities in the previous year. On that occasion, all the participants in the major volunteering drive titled “Our Belgrade”, held in June in Kalemegdan, received recognitions.

Victoria Group has awarded Ivana Španović and Emir Bekrić each with gift cheques for RSD 570,000 for their success achieved so far in sport. On this occasion, an agreement on cooperation with the Athletics Federation of Serbia was signed regarding a three-year sponsorship for Amela Terzić’s preparations for the 2016 Olympic Games.

Sojaprotein participated on the fair SPACE in Rennes, France, from 10 to 13 September 2013. This fair, as one of the three most important European events for cattle industry, gathers exhibitors of feed, pharmaceuticals and equipment from Europe, while attracting visitors from all over the world.

In the period from 23 to 25 August, the Veterinary Institute Subotica organised the sampling of the Dog&Style dog food at several locations in Belgrade and Novi Sad. Approximately 1,500 samples were distributed to the owners who were on Tašmajdan, Kalemegdan, Zemunski kej, 25. maj, Štrand, Limanski park and other popular pedestrian areas with their pets.
