Amela Terzić, scholar of Victoria Group, continues with sporting success

Serbian athlete Amela Terzic won a silver medal at the European Cross Country Championship in Usce in Belgrade, in a competition with younger seniors, and thus continued a series of successes in this event, ever since she won gold last year in Budapest in the junior competition. Terzic is a scholar of the company Victoria Group, which, over the next three years, shall sponsor her three-year preparation for the 2016 Olympic Games.

Representatives of Victoria Group with a delegation of PKS in Paris

A delegation of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce visited the International exhibition of equipment and technological solutions in environmental Protection and energetics - Pollutec Horizons 2013 - which was held last week in Paris. Victoria Group was represented by Svetlana Stanic, head of security and safety at work, and environmental protection, and Jelena Mitrovic, technical manager for project development.

Victoria Group presents the experiences of their factories in the use of biomass

The Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) and the Society of Thermal Engineers of Serbia (DTI), on December 3rd, organised a conference on the use of biomass for energy purposes in Serbia. Dragan Urosevic, energy manager of Victoria Logistic, member of Victoria Group, participated in the session on the potential uses of biomass, and in his presentation showed the experiences of the company which has, since 2006, used biomass as a renewable energy source.

Veterinary Institute Subotica organizes “Šmekerica” (Swag) Contest

The Veterinary Institute Subotica has launched a competition under the title “Šmekerica contest” for the face of the new line of dog food Dog&Style, for 2014. Over the next 13 months, in as many as six cities - Kragujevac, Novi Sad, Belgrade, Niš, Subotica, and Pančevo - activities are to be organised where dogs and their owners can expect a lot of fun, photography in a “swag” atmosphere, and all especially created for this event and tasting of dog food.

XII Council on Crop Protection

From November 25 to 29, the XII Council on Crop Protection took place on Zlatibor mountain. This Council traditionally represents the latest expert know-how and scientific research papers of domestic and foreign authors. Each year, the seminar is attended by a great number of researchers and experts in the field of crop protection. The continually hot topic is the establishment of a firmer cooperation amongst scientific institutions, the agricultural sector, and the regulatory bodies responsible for crop protection.

Sojaprotein at “Food Ingredients Europe” Exhibition

After appearing at the livestock trade fair, “Space”, in Rennes, France in September, and the food industry exhibition “Agroprodmash” in Moscow in October, Sojaprotein made its appearance at the “Food Ingredients Europe” exhibition in Frankfurt. This exhibition is held biennially, in Frankfurt and Paris respectively, and represents the most important event in the field of food industry, featuring exhibitions of renowned international producers.

Two “colossi” arrive for loading at the Port of Bačka Palanka

Last weekend, two “colossi” among vessels, 135 m long and 11.45 m wide each, arrived at the same time in the Port of Bačka Palanka for loading. Within the prescribed term, the self-propelled vessel Bosco, which arrived with 615 tons of sunflower, was additionally loaded with 1,381 tons of this oil crop. Concurrently, on the other quay, the self-propelled vessel Avalon was loaded with 2,248 tons of soy protein concentrate (SPC) for Sojaprotein, which was the first transport of this product from our soybean production plant to Rotterdam.

Victoria Group supports the “Magic Breakfast” humanitarian action

Victoria Group has again this year supported the “Magic Breakfast” humanitarian action intended for children with disabilities by donating sunflower oil. The action took place in Belgrade with the support of the Secretariat for Social Welfare, with the purpose of collecting food for schools for disabled children and promoting solidarity with socially vulnerable groups.
