In the previous two years Sojaprotein Joint Stock Company has begun investment activities regarding construction of factory for production of soybean isolates and concentrates. Due to extent and significance of the investment, it was divided in three stages in order to achieve desirable effects. Decision on realization of the first stage which implies construction of the factory with the capacity of 70.000 t a year has been made in the second half of this year. Procurement of the processing equipment of the total value of 10 million euro has been done and at the moment negotiations regarding commencement of construction are in progress. Beginning of construction of machinery for production of SPC is expected in March of 2011. in order to finish and complete the work by September 2011., where expected exploitation capacity during first year is within 65% range, and after this period with full capacity. Total estimated value of the investment in the first phase – building of the factory of traditional soybean concentrate – is 22, 5 million euro, where 4 million euro already has been invested. Considering the fact that the soybean concentrate represent one of the products with highest degree of finalization and broad range of their application in production of fish food and animal nutrition in general, production of substitution for milk and food for humans, significant increase in profit is expected with the sale of soybean concentrate; which in the moment of achieving full capacity of machinery, expected marketing share should be around 52 million Euro a year. Parallel with the construction of soybean, factory power plant for renewable sources derives from biomass power is also being constructed in order to supply energy for the factory. This power plant second of its kind in the world will use soy molasses – byproduct in production of soybean concentrate, which will achieve significant energy saving but also important effects in environmental protection.

Immediately after the first phase of investment is completed by beginning of 2010 begins second phase of production of functional soybean concentrate.
