Company Fertil Ltd, from Bačka Palanka is in 100 % ownership of Victoria Group business system since its foundation in 2006. The company currently employs 97 people.
Main activity of this factory that produces mineral fertilizers is production of NPK, NP, NK i PK types of fertilizers. The most common formulations, created by demands of Serbian market are: NPK 15:15:15, NPK 8:16:24 and NPK 8:24:16. By now Fertil has registered 32 different formulations. In addition to production of NPK fertilizers, the company is also engaged in packaging and distribution of mineral fertilizers of the following types: Urea, KAN, AN, MAP i DAP.
The company has positioned itself as a leader in the Serbian market of NPK fertilizers, NP fertilizer with an accentuated phosphorus component (MAP and DAP) and nitrate fertilizers. Estimate is that the company market share ranges from 25 to 30%.
Investment projects that should be highlighted are project of production capacity expansion executed in 2007 and construction of a warehouse, packaging plant and covered stock space, which was completed in 2009. During 2009 packaging capacities were significantly increased. In addition to the old, existing packaging plant, with daily capacity of 750 tons, and the big-bag packer of 360 tons/day, a new line for small packages of 5, 10 and 25 kilograms, with the capacity of 1,200 tons per day was put into operation. At the same time, with construction of new facility, the storage capacities for raw materials were increased from 30,000 to 70,000 tons, where as capacity for storing finished products were increased by a third.
Fertil is the first Factory in Serbia which produces mineral fertilizers with the use of compacting technology. This technology for production of mineral fertilizers is based on a completely dry process, without creating waste waters and gasses, which enables it to fulfil most demanding ecological standards. In forthcoming period goal of the company is to meet international standards of environmental protection, by implementing system ISO 14001. Also, one of the goals is to increase the volume of soil sampling and soil analysis, using the latest satellite GPS technology, in order to harmonize soil needs for certain mineral for a particular herbal culture with the fertilizer formulation.
